Troll Lord Games announced a BackerKit crowdfunding campaign for the remaining volumes of Castle Zygag, which will launch on April 7, 2026.

The crowdfunding campaign for the first wave of Castle Zygag content was crowdfunded in Q2 2025 and raised over $600,000 from 2,669 backers (about $225 per backer). The original material featured a town and dungeon that Dungeons & Dragons creator Gary Gygax was working on in the last years of his life. The material for this dungeon delve was effectively from the home brew game for his sons Luke and Ernie Gygax, and other early D&D creators. Castle Zygag was later picked up by Stephen Chenault and Troll Lord Games and brought to market (see “ICv2 Interview: Luke Gygax and Stephen Chenault“).

The material in Act II focuses on the deepest levels of the Mad Mage’s dungeon. These volumes complete the remaining parts of the castle labyrinth with new maps, encounters, and descriptions of the levels.  More information will be available closer to the BackerKit launch.
