Wizards of the Coast will release a Magic: The Gathering variant format deck, through their Secret Lair DTC platform, in March 2026.

The “Forgetful Fish”/”Dandan” single deck format, created by Magic fan Nick Floyd, has been around for a few years now. In this format, two players share a single 80-card mono-blue tempo deck as they battle it out in a fishy game of Magic where the signature creature is 10 copies of Dandan. This casual format is quite a test of skill at high levels of play as the Memory Lapses, Accumulated Knowledge, and various color/text changing cards in the deck can make the in-game effect stack quite a puzzle of effects at times.

The Secret Lair: Dandan Deck was originally announced as a Chaos Vault release back in September 2025 (see below). Recently, Floyd took to his social media accounts to announce that the DanDan deck was now coming in March 2026 (see below). His post was reposted by WotC’s Secret Lair social media accounts. Thus far, the cards revealed for this deck include Magical Hack, Mystic Sanctuary, Accumulated Knowledge, Memory Lapse, and of course, DanDan.
