When you find someone’s hand in your purse and you decide turnabout is fair play, what does your light-fingered friend have for show? Probably some money. Ho-hum.
What else might your adventurers find when they Uno reverse-card a thief? Roll a d12 on the It So Happens I Am Glad to See You table.
Use with caution! Any one of these ideas can send a session on an entirely unexpected goose chase of its own.
It So Happens I Am Glad to See You
| d12 | Pocket Content |
| 1 | A handful of brightly hued soft cloth balls have bits of metallic thread sticking out. They tickle your fingers. Perhaps an involuntary giggle escapes your lips. |
| 2 | A warm, half-eaten pickle wrapped in a piece of paper. The paper says, “You may take five victims today.” |
| 3 | A tiny, but ornate white chest. A word on top says “Feeblefingers.” If the word is spoken aloud, the chest grows in size. |
| 4 | A handful of burrs poke at the person who sticks their hand in that pocket. Five minutes later, that person’s skin gains a metallic purple-blue sheen for a time determined by the GM. |
| 5 | A small scroll case contains a spell called Fizzlebang’s fabulous fizznorts. It’s not clear what the spell does. |
| 6 | A whistle made from hematite never sounds the same twice when used. |
| 7 | A ball of hairbands of every color, all with bits of hair attached. |
| 8 | A small tin flask contains a fluid that smells like ham. If drunk or tasted, the imbiber changes into a pig for 1d4 hours. |
| 9 | A suncatcher in the shape of an evil deity literally catches the light of the sun. A hazy space of shadows forms around it. |
| 10 | A shiny apple. A worm that sticks its head out, smiles, and says cheerfully, “Hey there, stranger! Maybe you can help me out here!” |
| 11 | A crumpled mask has several rare feathers forming part of it. |
| 12 | An invitation to a local gathering for that evening states that the best entertainment will be provided, as will the most delicious foods. Someone has faintly sketched a medusa behind the ornate writing on the invitation. |
