Dynamite Entertainment will release ThunderCats: The Roleplaying Game, designed and written by Lynnvander Studios. Currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter with a retailer tier, the new RPG is compatible with D&D 5E – 2024 rules. The deal to produce the product was announced in July in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con (see “Thundercats RPG Announced”).
The core product is a 240-page hardcover rulebook with character creation rules; new classes, subclasses, feats, artifacts, monster stat-block and backgrounds; a campaign setting combining the cartoon and comic continuities; lore and history; full-color art; and Game Master tools and adventures.
The rulebook will be available in Standard Hardcover and Limited Edition Variant Art editions.
The books will go to the printer as soon as the Kickstarter campaign concludes, with fulfillment planned for Q1 2026 and trade release to follow.
