Take a look at a winged Chaos Daemons tournament-winning list that walks the Twisting Path for Tzeentch!

Chaos Daemons got an update this time around with a shift in their giant Lords of Change doing more damage.  Just going to flat 3 Damage is nutty on their ranged attacks and creates a rather rough thing to try and chew through.  You also mix this with Fateweaver getting no LOS shooting and a pile of decent data sheets gives you a lot of play into the current meta.  Chaos Daemons can get anywhere on the table and while they are not nearly as fancy as the Aeldari they are still pretty gnarly.

Here is a Scintillating Legion army from an event last month.  There were a few lists that did well and I liked this one as it uses a ton of Screamers.  I played against the updated ones at the Salt Lake Team event and thought these jerks could do some damage.  It also helps that a very old army list from many editions ago used a ton of Screamers – which I happen to have a ton of.

The Scintillating Legion detachment is a weird one in that you start with 3 Flux tokens that you can use to reroll things and if you spend one your opponent then gets one.  If your opponent spends theirs they give you a Flux token back.  They also have some stratagems that let you burn Flux tokens to do more things with it.  The important thing is their Datasheets are good, they have some fun stratagems, and they can hit you really hard if they need too.

Here is the list that Adam Weinstein won a 28 player event in Manchester, CT.

Using the List

Inescapable Eye gives you an extra Flux token if your opponent has one during the command phase.  It is a nice cheap option that gives you more Rerolls to do fun things with.  The Infernal Puppeteer allows the model to use a Tzeentch Daemon model within 9″ to shoot through.  This gives you even more range with your shooting attacks and just lets you get the job done – for Tzeentch.

The army has movement tricks, tough birds to chew thru, and piles of damage to give out.  It even has a fun reroll mechanic which leaves you with CP to do other fun things with.  It is Chaos Daemons and again lives and dies on that 4+ save.
