Starfinder 2E got its first-ever batch of errata today. Nerfs, buffs, and updates abound – see if your favorite class came out ahead!

New Starfinder 2E errata landed today – the first-ever for the new edition of the sci-fantasy RPG. And it is a fairly comprehensive list, cobbled together from fan feedback, forum finagles, and of course Paizo’s own policies and procedures. Everything from Ancestries and Classes to pieces of gear and combat hacks has been touched on a little.

Starfinder 2E Errata Arrives

For the most part, there’s a lot of clarification, which makes sense. It’s the first run of the second edition; there’s bound to be a few kinks to work out. However, there are a few larger changes that might well have a big impact on your games.

For instance, paragon grade frag grenades now do more damage, and chem weapons are now set at a capacity of 8 chem (instead of the previous 10 chem top up). But Combat Hack no longer has a duration, meaning if you give someone the glitching condition, they’re stuck with it until they can get a critical success at debugging their tech.

Other big changes include a sweeping wave of clarifications for the core classes. Solarian manifestations should be clearer, while Operatives of either Striker or Sniper specializations should find buffs, especially with the new equipment changes. Meanwhile Envoys will find better leadership abilities in the form of a boost to Effortless Influencer, while Witchwarpers have seen updates to the feat trees.

“Greetings, Starfinders! Are you excited for a new year of opportunity and adventure? Ourd esigners have been diligently combing both our books and our social media spaces to create our first comprehensive errata!”

As mentioned, the full list is pretty extensive. You can find it over on the Starfinder FAQ page, linked below. You’ll find specific page call outs and the like for each new change, making it easier to make sure your notes are updated. Of course, if you keep your Starfinder digital, the updates are already in place.
