Get ready for the supernatural, the strange, and two new classes for Pathfinder 2E (remastered) in the upcoming Dark Archive.
Pathfinder 2E is going to have psychic powers before D&D 5.5E, barring any surprise announcements/releases. At least that seems to be the case given the upcoming Dark Archive (Remastered), which introduces, among other things, the Psychic and Thaumaturge classes to the new ruleset. Fun times. Plus, cults, cryptids, and even temporal anomalies! Let’s check it out.
Pathfinder: Dark Archive (Remastered) – Two New Classes & More
Inside Dark Archive (Remastered), you will find two new classes waiting for you. There are other things, too, but the two new classes are what will have everyone all a-quiver. That’s just how it goes with RPGs, because by the nature of the beast, you will have more players than GMs unless you’re doing something extremely specific.
And in this case, we have two new classes. First up, the Psychic. It’s been a little more than two years since the Psychic has had a touchup (you can find it in ye old Pathfinder Remastered Compatibility Guide FAQ), and I, for one, am excited to see what the new one looks like.
Because the Psychic was previously basically a two-slot caster with some stronger-than-normal cantrips and Focus spells that really let you let loose. No clue as to what the changes will be – but if Guns & Gears is anything to go by, we should be in for a treat.
Next up, the Thaumaturge.
The Thauaturge has always been one of the wilder classes – it’s all about being a monster hunter in the Van Helsing tradition. You pick a mystic implement, find esoteric weaknesses of your enemies and exploit them. Especially with the new more codified ruleset, I expect they’ll have a much easier time. Hopefully with a buff or two for good measure.
There’s plenty of other stuff, too, including new GM tools, monsters, temporal anomalies, and more. You can pre-order it at the link below!
Pathfinder Dark Archive (Remastered) contains secrets that any player or GM can use to reveal the paranoraml lurking in their Pathfinder games, all updated to work perfectly with the remastered Pathfinder Second Edition rules! This spine-tinglingly secretive 224-page hardcover rulebook presents two new character classes perfect for delving into the unexplained: Unleash the untold powerof your mind as the psychic or leverage supernatural secrets and mystic implements as the thaumaturge!
