Is your local store hosting Marvel: Crisis Protocol game nights or events? Then here’s what could be up for grabs!

Atomic Mass Games has a Retail Support program where stores can receive additional swag to hand out to their players. Now, I don’t have all the details about this program so if you’re a store you can reach out to AMG here for more info. That said, I do know what’s in the most recent Retailer Support Kit and I wanted to share those contents with everyone.

Marvel: Crisis Protocol Spider-Verse Retailer Support Kit Contents

First up, there is a poster which is included. I didn’t get a photo of that because you should really go to your local store to check that out. It’s going to look way better in person (and probably posted on a window or wall). But the “giveaway” items are really where it’s at. So let’s get into those!

Oh and really quick, the kit included a total of 8 sets of all these cards. There’s really not instructions on how stores are to use these in the kit. So they could be prize support for a tournament or random giveaways for leagues or…really however the stores want to do it. So you’ll have to ask the stores how to get these cards.

Kicking things off we’ve got the alternate art cards for Ultimate Spider-Man as well as Spider-Ham. The are not holofoils unfortunately — but I do like the updated art! Rules-wise these are identical of the counter-parts you’ll find in the box. At least as far as I could tell. So they are up to date and “legal” for play. It’s just cool alternate art to collect.

Now, these ARE the shiny versions of the character cards! I know it doesn’t really show up well in a photo but they definitely have some holofoil things going on as well as being slightly thicker. These cards in particular are going to be the ones that go first or will be the most sought after. I think all the cards look great and I’m glad to see AMG supporting stores with swag like thing.

Dimensional Swapping One-Shot

The final card in the set is a really cool One-Shot card. Personally, I like the One-shot cards for occasional use. I know that they typically aren’t used for competitive events or standard format tournaments. But not every game has to be that style. That said, this is really designed to be used with a full roster of characters. And it is a really wonky one!

Basically there’s Dimensional Cracks that characters can either move onto or get shoved on. This then triggers a Dimensional Swap where you have to swap another unused character of equal or less threat with the character touched the Dimensional Crack. Personally, I think this one is kinda nuts. I honestly really want to give this one a go because of how hard it leans into multiverse concept.

Also, this is kind of a neat way to swap out characters from your roster. Maybe one isn’t working out quite the same as you though they would and they need to tag out. Or maybe your enemy’s character is causing a problem you don’t have an answer to. So shove them in the Dimensional Crack and force them to swap!

I hope you get a chance to get these cards for yourself. So go visit your FLGS and see if they have any MCP events/leagues going on! The Spider-Verse is counting on you.
