The Nightbringer has come back to the tabletop of 40k and he’s got a deadly Nekrosor with him. Come see these new terrors up close!
With the return of the Nightbringer (well, not so much a return as much as a “glow-up”) we’ve got a new miniature to behold! It’s an impressive one for sure and we had our very own Goatboy put him together and bring them in the studio for a closer inspection. He also built the new Nekrosor Ammentar who’s also rather neat looking as well. So let’s take a look.
The Nightbringer
Personally, I’m a big fan of this updated miniature. The previous one was a classic for sure. I still remember that old metal chunk on the tabletop. I had more than a few run-ins with the Nightbringer. Anyhow, this new all plastic miniature does have quite a few spindly bits so be aware of those. I do like how many of the seems have been hidden in the design. I know Goatboy likes to use superglue for many of his builds while I tend to lean more towards plastic glue. Regardless, this looks like a miniature you’re going to want to follow the instructions on for assembly.
I also think this is a miniature that you could get really creative with the basing on as well. Those energy blasts coming up from the bottom could look great with the right terrain textures next to them. Overall, this is an impressive miniature and we’ve gotten to see what a handful of the community has done with it already. I can’t wait to see more from the community at large when this hits stores!
Nekrosor Ammentar
Another gnarly Necron, the Nekrosor Ammentar is a whirlwind of death for sure! I like that GW is taking him more in the Destroyer Cult direction and really making this reanimated robot look “crazy” in that way. Shout-out to the basing on this miniature, too. I’m a fan of the ruins and rubble that Ammentar is moving over. I didn’t really notice the super long tail he’s got until I saw these pictures either. I’m curious to see if this character takes off on the Necron front. I’m also wondering what sorts of paint jobs the community will toss on this miniature.
Both of these miniatures are coming to pre-order this weekend!
Don’t fear the Reaper. But the Nightbringer? Yeah… probably deserves a healthy amount of scared.
