The Ossiarch Bonereapers have a new batch of units on the way for Age of Sigmar and we’ve got them built for a closer look!

Nagash has plans for the Mortal Realms and Mortisans of the Ossiarch Bonereapers have been busy shaping up new ways to conquer the realms. For us mere mortals that means we’ve got a bunch of cool miniatures to drool over. As an OBR player myself, I feel like my wallet is about to pay the bone-tithe. While I didn’t get to build these ones in particular, we did get them early from Games Workshop. So at least I get to share and stare at these pictures with everyone else.

Liege-Kavalos on War Chariot

The Chariots are finally here. There’s no way the OBR are ever going to beat those Tomb King allegations now. But I don’t really care! These new War Chariots look great. I’m excited to get a couple of these for my collection. Based on the rules, I’d probably need three kits total. One for the Liege-Kavalos and two standard War Chariots. I think those will look great together and it’s a literally One-Two punch.

Again, this is a dual-kit so you can change up how you want to build and field them. I like the details of the “horses” with skulls/souls stuck inside. That’s a nice callback to the Morghasts. I also like how the chariot’s armor looks. It’s a cool melding of bone and metal.

Liege-Mortek

The Liege-Mortek is another welcome addition to the ranks. Looking back, I’m a little surprised we didn’t get a martial infantry character like this sooner. I think he’ll pair nicely with the Mortek Guard to lead the foot-charge or as a character that can support the new archers. To be fair, he does just look like a buffed-up Mortek Guard…but that seems appropriate for this unit. Also, this unit does have multiple options when building so you can change the look up to your liking — or run multiple Liege-Morteks.

I know they are technically “dead” already but I’d still go with one of the helmet options personally…

Mortis Reapers

The Mortis Reapers are another unit I’m excited about. These guys are highly mobile and are basically assassins that pop in and out of terrain. I think they may open up some funky strategies in the army. I like how their hoods are draped over them. I also like how their blades are similar to the Mortek Guard but they are different enough to be interesting. As a unit, I think this one will be a fun hobby challenge.

They look like assassins for sure!

Mortek Triaxes

The final new unit that we’re getting a look at are the new Mortek Triaxes. It’s finally time for the OBR to have a legit archer unit and I’m excited about that. I also like their brazier mechanic as it seems like a nice little debuff to the enemy. I’m going to try and not go overboard with this unit though. It’s tempting to just take a couple big blocks of them. But I’d like to see the rest of the Battletome and plan out a list before I go THAT heavy into OBR ranged attacks.

That said this unit addition now makes the OBR seem much more like a classical army. I’m not mad about it either. Also, did anyone else notice that they do have two eyes? It’s just that one is on their forehead instead of where you’d expect it to be. In fact, I think they might even have another third eye on their crests. Geez… these guys just get creepier the more you look at them.

The Ossiarch Bonereapers new wave is landing in pre-order this weekend. Are you ready for them?
