Paizo, Inc. has announced a new Pathfinder Game Night boxed set entitled The Dragon’s Crown, releasing on October 7.

The Dragon’s Crown boxed set is a self-contained adventure designed to help bring new players up to speed.  It tells the story of a tiny, friendly dragon whose crown is stolen by an imp.  The players are charged with recovering the crown, which leads them to face off against a mysterious crime lord.

The adventure is split over three short sessions, each designed to play in a single evening.  The boxed set includes four pre-generated first-level heroes, poster-style combat maps, cardstock pawns for the heroes and the enemies they will face, dice, and a 32-page booklet.  MSRP is $34.99.

October will also see the release of the Cheliax, Infernal Inheritance sourcebook for Pathfinder (see “Paizo Reveals New ‘Pathfinder:  Lost Omens’ RPG Book“).  A new Beginner Box is planned for May (see “New ‘Pathfinder’ ‘Beginner Box’ Heads to Retail“) and a Pathfinder-themed card game was released earlier this month (see “Paizo Reveals New ‘Pathfinder’ Party Game“).
