It’s Kravek Morne and the rest of the Iron Warriors releases coming to Warhammer 40,000. The new Defiler is here!
Okay, so really it’s Kravek Morne as the only Iron Warrior release. The rest of these units are available to Chaos Space Marines in general. That’s not a bad thing! Well, at least if you’re a CSM player. For everyone else get ready for the Defiler and Mutilators to become a problem for you to solve.
New Chaos Space Marines Up Close
Kravek Morne
First up we have the new Iron Warriors Character Kravek Morne. I really like the look of this miniature. There’s loads of details his armor is a call back to the Cataphractii Terminators which I’m a fan of. And check out those tendrils! One other thing I appreciate about this one is the battle damage that’s actually sculpted on the miniature as well. Overall, I think he’s a good addition to the Iron Warriors (and thus the Chaos Space Marine) miniature range.
Mutilators
This is one batch of miniatures I’m really glad we’ve finally gotten. I never bought the old ones because, well, I didn’t like the miniatures at all. These new versions are ones that I wouldn’t mind seeing on the tabletop. They do seem a bit like a half-way house between Terminators and a Helbrute in size though. I’m sure that’s entirely the point. Anyhow, if you like the mini-daemon engine look I think these new versions might just be for you.
Defiler
And finally we have the new Defiler! This kit is pretty awesome. I like the redesign quite a bit and I’m really thinking of getting in on this chaos action! It doesn’t hurt that it’s also got some solid rules. Honestly, it’s appropriate that the Defiler can hang with Knights and larger miniatures. Anyhow, you can see the details in the pictures above and it’s just as stunning in person. There’s loads of options for the head and you can even reposition the arms/legs if you really want to get creative with the pose. I really think the community is going to have an absolute field day with this kit!
