It’s a big week for the boys and girls in gold as the Adeptus Custodes roll out more reinforcements for Horus Heresy.

Adeptus Custodes roll out in all their golden glory next week, as the pre-orders unleash a new wave of Custodes Sodalities. New characters, new models, and of course, a swanky new Dreadnought all await you as part of the upcoming pre-orders. Let’s check em out!

Heresy-Era Custodes – Next Week!

Leading the charge of the Custodes is the Shield Captain. This is a gifted leader and warrior second to – well not exactly none, but second to very few. Wielding a praesidium shield and an eternity blade, this model can be a Shield Captain or Tribune as you see fit.

Roll out one of the new Custodian Sodalities – these are formations of humanity’s most elite warriors. The Custodian Guard is a squad of six, armed with guardian spears and a magisterium vexilla because sometimes you just gotta let your flag, freak or otherwise, fly.

If you want a little more heavy protection, you’ll want to check out the Sentinel Guard Sodality. This kit comes with six Sentinels, each carrying a heavy praesidium shield and wielding sentinel warblades. Sure, they don’t have the range, but who needs range when you’re an Adeptus Custodes?

The Venatari Sodality is all about taking to the skies. With their winged jump packs, they soar through the air like golden eagles, only to descend upon targets in a terrifying dive. Each venatari can be kitted out with kinetic destroyer and tarsus buckler, or a verutum lance for maximum aerial charging.

Then there’s the incredible Custodian Dreadnought. This specialized Dreadnought is more agile and deadly than its Adeptus Astartes counterparts – it’d have to be to take full advantage of the Custodes interred within. With the new kit, you can make a Contemptor-Achillus or a Contemptor-Galatus Dreadnought.

And then there’s the wonderful grav-toys that they have. Like the Coronus Grav-carrier, which can carry a full six-person Sodality across the battlefield with surprising speed, while still providing fire support in the form of a twin Arachnus blaze cannon and twin lastrum bolt cannon/neutronium cascade projector for backup.

The Caladius Grav-tank, on the other hand, mounts twin Iliastus accelerator cannons for even heavier firepower. When you can’t kill it with a Custodes’ bare hands, this is what you’ll want to reach for.

Or maybe the Caladius Annihilator Grav-tank, which mounts the even heavier twin Arachnus blaze carronade that can either direct concentrated fire at heavy armor, or spread out in burst fire mode to tackle swarms of less heavily armored enemies.

All this, next week!
