Marvel: Crisis Protocol has a lot of heroes and villains. But these are the Heroes and their Nemesis Pairings we’re still missing.
One of the great thing about Marvel: Crisis Protocol is the fact that it’s based on the Marvel Comics. And that roster of characters runs deep. That said, there’s still a ton of untapped potential with the existing characters and their nemesis pairings. Now, some of these characters exist in the game already. But some don’t and those are the ones we want to see added. So let’s get to our list!
Punisher / Jigsaw
I really don’t think I need to introduce the Punisher at this point. Frank Castle is pretty well known. Heck, even Jigsaw is also fairly high up on the pop culture list these days. That has a lot to do with the more recent Jon Bernthal Punisher run in the MCU for sure. Anyhow, I wouldn’t be angry if Jigsaw showed up as a part of MCP in some form or fashion. I still think we need more “street level” threats after all.
She-Hulk / Titania
This is another match-up I’m kind of shocked we haven’t gotten yet. Titania and She-Hulk are a classic pair of Hero vs Villain. I do wonder if it’s more of a design issue instead of a character pairing issue. Titania’s powerset is that she’s, well, really strong. She got her powers thanks to the whole Battleworld / Secret Wars arc. They were due to an experiment from Doctor Doom. I don’t think just making her a carbon copy of She-Hulk would make her a good addition to the game. Still, I think she could occupy an interesting design space if done well.
Fantastic Four / Doctor Doom
I couldn’t drop a Doctor Doom reference in the previous entry and not mention this one. Again, I don’t think I need to explain this rivalry or why I’m still surprised that the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom aren’t in the game yet. Then again, there are Four of them. And Marvel Crisis Protocol Alliances is designed to have four heroes and a villain…wouldn’t that be an interesting mix for a boxed set in 2027…
Longshot / Mojo
This is another pairing that I’m honestly really shocked we don’t have yet. I know Mojo Ball was kind of an experiment but still…Mojo is right there. And you can’t do Mojo and the Mojoverse without Longshot (and Shatterstar and Spiral). I’m still holding out that we get a Mojo Miniature at some point though. It’s gotta happen, right?!
Banshee / Black Tom Cassidy
I’m bringing this pairing up because Banshee has quite the history with the X-Men. And since we’ve basically got the X-Men roster done at this point (well, at least of the main stream X-Men) it’s time to start looking at X-Men related characters. And there’s a LOT of them. At the top of my list is Banshee. Sean Cassidy has that sonic scream which he combines with his suit to fly. And he’s related to Black Tom Cassidy (who’s his cousin).
Actually, I don’t know if I’d really consider them to be arch-nemesis material…But I still think they are an obvious pairing. Plus we’ve already got Black Tom Cassidy on a Team Tactic Card. So I’m just sayin…
There’s loads more pairings we need (looking at you Stryfe/Cable). What character pairings would you love to see?
