Keen eyed Horus Heresy players might have spotted Horus Ascendant’s datasheet early. But now we get a look at his new model!
There are few characters in the lore of Warhammer 40,000 that have made an impact as big as Horus. He’s got an entire heresy named after him afterall! So it’s fitting that Games Workshop opted to create another Resin Miniature for him in his full Chaos Glory.
“Rendered in highly detailed resin, this model is the first in a new Character Series from Forge World, representing each of the Primarchs at the height of the Heresy – whether they’re fully under the sway of Chaos, or rallying to defend the Imperium in its darkest hour – giving us a fresh look at the driving characters of this epic saga as they lead their Legions into the biggest battles.”
This new Warmaster Horus Ascendant model certainly updates hum quite a bit. He looks a lot bulkier and almost more feral. The wolf pelt he wears is looking more ragged and the old Luna Wolf nods are all gone, too. He’s been juiced up by the powers of Chaos and this is his “final form” as he lays siege to Terra and ultimately faces off with the Emperor.
As a side note, GW also teased during the NOVA Open preview that Horus may not be the only Primarch to get a redone model in the future either…
It will be neat to see which other Primarchs could get a new “empowered by chaos” Horus Heresy model!
