The leaders of Cadian forces on the battlefield are getting a new model. Check out Cadian’s new Castellans.

We got our first looks at the new Cadian models this weekend and it’s a major overhaul. But GW teased that there were many more on the way. Today, we get a look at a few revamped old friends. Meet the Cadian Castellan model.

“Unlike regular Command Squads, Castellans don’t go into battle accompanied by a retinue. They move among their troops, issuing orders and directing fire wherever it’s needed, all while extending re-rolls to every CORE unit in range.”

While Astra Militarum Officers can boost units with Orders the Castellan gets to issue two orders per turn. These extra orders are going to be super helpful for all your units as they will allow your units to do the “thing” they need to do more effectively.

The model itself comes with many loadout options as seen above as well as 4 different heads.

“[Castellans] can be used with any Astra Militarum army, Cadian or otherwise – even the Death Korps of Krieg and the Catachan Jungle Fighters need battlefield command.”

And don’t think for one second that these Castellans can only lead from the back. They are actually competent close-quarters opponents and are capable of getting their hands quite dirty — with their enemies gore!
