The Raven Guard are due for their turn at the Mark VI armour upgrade station from Forge World. New helmets and shoulder pads incoming.
It’s time for the XIX Legion to get their sweet Horus Heresy upgrades for the Mark VI armour. It’s a new batch of upgrade packs heading to Forge World very soon.
“The sleek lines of ‘Corvus’ armour were named for the Raven Guard’s Primarch, so it’s no wonder that the sons of Corax look so good in their new duds. “
A Head Above
In the upgrade pack you’re going to get 9 “normal” helmets along with a bare head and a special helmet with a transverse crest. This pack is perfect for decking out a squad with a little extra for character.
It’s kind of funny that the Raven Guard are finally getting their own “beakie” helmets. They are subtlety different than the regular helmets. I am glad that the designers didn’t just add the Raven Guard icon to every helmet and call it a day.
Put A Bird On It
The same cannot be said for the shoulder pads. Then again, you kinda want that sculpted emblem emblazoned on them…that’s the entire point! These shoulder pads fall in line with the rest of the options out there and are a fantastic addition to any Raven Guard army out there. Certainly beats the heck out of trying to freehand all those shoulder pads.
As an aside, this is the final Legion to get their upgrade packs from Forge World. Now the question is what’s next?! We’ll have to check back in next Thursday to see what GW has planned.
