Magnetic Press Play released The Roleplaying Game of the Planet of the Apes Quickstart Rules for the Official RPG (a title that is amazing for columnists looking to meet a word count). This 86-page PDF includes a streamlined version of the West End Games D6 system customized for The Roleplaying Game of the Planet of the Apes along with pre-generated ape characters and an adventure to test out the system.

The other big-name licensed quickstart this week comes from Monolith Board Games SARL with Conan: The Hyborian Age Quickstart. The quickstart features five pre-gens, an adventure “The Seal of Archeron”, a “lite” version of the rules, and a setting overview for those unfamiliar with Conan.

Agate RPG also has a quickstart for Tainted Grail: Song of a Dying World, a dark fantasy setting inspired by Arthurian myths and Celtic folklore. The quickstart includes information on the setting, an overview of the game system, four premade characters, and a complete scenario. Also available in French.

Are you ready to rock? I can’t hear you! That’s probably because I’m writing this from Texas and the distance is too great, but the Gods of Rock can hear you in this BRP game from Non-Euclidean Publishing. You’re rockers in your tour van going from gig to gig trying to make it big in the music world while also dealing with all the demons.

If you want something more directly Lovecraftian, Ruggero Cortini has Abyssus Aquae, a Call of Cthulhu scenario set in modern day Naples where an archeological dig of the Roman aqueducts awakens something in the depths.

Hewie Enfield released Getting a Clue, a custom detective game using coin flips as a mechanic as you gather clues, figure out whodunit no matter how many shootouts or interrogations it takes.

Mythos Creations has a one-shot for 5e The Blight of Morithal which can be played at 10th, 15th, or 20th level that pits the party against the zombie dragon Morithal.

If you want an introductory adventure for Monster of the Week, Cast of Dozens released Who Ya Gonna Call which send the Hunters to a prestigious city library and investigate the supernatural happenings.

DriveThruRPG launched the Dungeons & Dragons Summer Sale this week with discounts on official D&D content for Roll20 and even more available for sale on Dungeonmasters Guild.

They aren’t the only ones with 5e discounts going on as Monte Cook Games has a deal on their third-party 5e content for the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. The discount scales with how much you order so the more you buy, the more you save.

Over on Humble Bundle, the Maps Extravaganza Bundle is back with software tools to help you create your own maps.
