WizKids is continuing its line of Dungeons & Dragons adult chromatic dragon figures, this time with a new red dragon figure. The new figure, announced today and available for pre-order on WizKids’ website, shows the new red dragon roaring at the skies with one arm raised on the ground. The new red dragon design has a significantly longer tail than before, which is also showcased on the figure. The figure sits on a 75 mm base and has an 8-inch wingspan. Both a painted and unpainted version of the red dragon will be available, with the painted version costing $79.99 and the unpainted version costing $59.99. You can check out renders of the dragon figure below:
A Black Dragon (called the Black Dragon Corrupter) was previously revealed by WizKids and will be released in February 2025.
As part of the 2024 rules update, Wizards of the Coast redesigned both the chromatic and metallic dragons away from their iconic Todd Lockwood designs. Part of these redesigns were made to give the dragons looks that matched both their lore and mechanical abilities. For example, the red dragon’s underside has shades of grey, which is meant to allow it to blend in with smoke clouds when viewed from the ground.
