Starfinder 2E is around the corner. And the Galaxy Guide has expansive tools for any GM looking to explore campaign types—sneak a peek!
Starfinder 2E’s upcoming Galaxy Guide is right around the corner. Soon enough, you’ll be able to hold in your hands (or at least your digital archives) the new book for Starfinder GMs. But what will you find within? What sorts of treasures lay hidden among its pages?
Well, we don’t have all the answers, but we DO have at least some idea—Paizo unveiled a preview of the Galaxy Guide, specifically taking a look at campaign/genre types. Today, we’re taking a peek at the newly revealed “High-Tech Adventures”. This is one of the many campaign types that let you explore the galaxy through different lenses—consider how different a necromantic space anomaly is through the lens of a space exploration campaign vs. a cosmic horror campaign. But what is a High Tech Adventure?
Starfinder Galaxy Guide – High Tech Adventure Preview
High-Tech Adventures may well thrive on magitech, or high-octane adventure. There are different ways to play with the idea, and the Galaxy Guide will give GM’s tools for the different modes of play (Encounter, Exploration, Downtime). Not to mention new planets and hotspots that play well with the genre.
“Characters in high-tech adventures, whether player characters or NPCs, may have a higher likelihood of being androids or having a variety of cybernetic enhancements and augmentations. Classes like the technomancer and mechanic (from our currently-running Tech Class Playtest) are spectacularly well-suited for high-tech adventures, but there’s more than enough space in the augmented reality court for operatives, witchwarpers, soldiers—or maybe even a rogue or ranger, transported from Golarion and left in awe of the technology around them!”
And that’s just a sample of what you might find inside. There are new gods and new mysteries and new genres to investigate. So if you want to hit Starfinder 2E running, consider the Galaxy Guide.
And look for Starfinder 2E at Gen Con 2025!
