The future is bright for Age of Sigmar fans, and there are a few things I’m hoping we see for the gruesome gourmands- the Flesh-eater Courts.
Welcome in, Generals of the Realms! We recently got the gorgeous Soulblight Gravelords Deathrattle Box, and the hits are lined up to keep coming. Games Workshop has given players some really awesome stuff to players with these special boxes, and they don’t seem to be slowing down. The roadmap is positively stacked with new armies, and 4.0 just keeps getting better. However, we don’t know what we’ll get in the upcoming drops (if we get anything at all). That doesn’t stop us from hoping, however, and there are a few things that I would love to see for another upcoming army, the Flesh-eater Courts.

New Ghouls

Honestly, the Courts are in a pretty great place, rules-wise. While they aren’t the steamroller that they were in the halcyon days of 3.5, they’re still a force to be reckoned with. However, some of their models are really starting to show their age. The Crypt Ghouls in particular have had the same sculpt for a long time, and it’s high time they got an update. With the beautiful new Skeletons, Orruks, and Skaven we’ve seen since 4.0 drops, I don’t think an update is too much to ask for. If nothing else, we can get something a bit more dynamic.
A (Subtle) Return to Court
When I first got into FEC, my favorite aspect was their unique courtly subfactions, particularly Hollowmourne. I know we’ll never go back to the land of subfactions, but I think we can achieve something similar with different Formations. A formation that makes our Ghouls explode like the Blisterskin or empowers our monsters like the Gristlegore would be amazing. Plus, our Mortarch is canonically Hollowmourne, so we need to bring his castle back. After all, we wouldn’t want to make the King angry…
What changes do you want to see for the Flesh-eater Courts?
