Boltgun 2 – Putting The Boom And Shoot In Boomer Shooter

If you somehow missed the first go-round in the series, Boltgun is both a loving homage to classic FPSes like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D while also a firepower-packed tour of some of the worst places in the 40K galaxy. Worst places for your enemies, because you’re there to turn them into gibs in all sorts of creative ways.

It was an incredible retro shooter that managed a decent narrative alongside it. Simple, straightforward, but that’s the way these games are meant to be enjoyed. It’s uncomplicated fun. You see Chaos daemons, you blast them with plasma. Lather, rinse, repeat, and hope that you don’t die along the way. Pick up some keycards.

Boltgun 2 picks up immediately after Boltgun ends. So you may want to track down Boltgun while you can and get yourself ready for the new game.

“Obliterate heretics in the name of the Emperor in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2! Malum Caedo is back in this sequel to retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun with MORE enemies, MORE weapons, and NEW ways to purge!”

Of course, if you’re looking for more Boltgun in your life right now, you should know that Boltgun 2 and Boltgun aren’t the only titles in the series. Revealed along with Boltgun 2, and then immediately available – as in you can go play this game right now, for free: Boltgun: Words of Vengeance.

This is a Typing of the Dead type game. In other words, you’ll be blasting the enemies of the Emperor, but you’ll have to use your words first. You’ll have to type as though your very soul depends on it, in orderto fend off hordes of Chaos’ most foul troops. It’s good clean fun. And who doesn’t love typing things like “There is no escape” or “The Emperor protects” and then seeing that ranslated into a blazing meltabeam that carves through a Bloodthirster? You can find both Boltgun 2 and Boltgun: Words of Vengeance at the links below.

You can type kaboom to create an explosion and that’s just like the tutorial!
