The clouds are parting for an army of brand-new sky dwarves, ready to descend to the battlefield in search of aethergold.

Welcome in, Generals of the Realms! The Realms are host to all manner of warriors, from gold-clad warriors forged of lightning to villainous rat-men ascending from the depths. However, one of the most unique armies plying their warrior trade is the Kharadron Overlords. The skyfleets of these steampunk duardin blend ingenuity with arcane science (TOTALLY NOT MAGIC) to create impossible war machines. With the war in Ghyran upping the game, the KO have unleashed a few new warriors to ensure they get their cut.

Null-Khemist

If there’s one thing Duardin hate, it’s magic. Whether it’s the fell sorceries of the Forces of Chaos or the blessings of Sigmar himself, no self-respecting son of Grungni would rely on that drivel. Unfortunately, the KO haven’t really been able to counter enemy magic in a meaningful way…until now. Their new Null-Khemist has just the thing to deal with pesky mages. Equipped with a smoke gun to choke their magical enemies and protect their allies, I forsee this gent being an auto-include in future lists.

Vongrim Salvagers

The Vongrim are a new clan of Kharadron, founded by an enterprising Admiral that lost his ship. His Salvager corps make up the primary bulk of his mercenary army. These deadly warriors take a cue from their Fyreslayer cousins, abandoning the ranged superiority we’ve come to expect from the skyports for close-quarters battle. It’s awesome to see the KO move away from the kiting gunline they’ve been for so long, and a true skirmish unit is a welcome addition to the roster. I can’t wait to see what effect these warriors have on the KO playstyle.

Vongrim Harpoon Crew

Losing your skyvessel is probably the worst thing that can befall a Kharadron skyfarer. The Vongrim know that all too well, as they are a clan composed primarily of warriors whose ship was taken down. However, where most of the clan plies their trade for other vessels, the warriors of the Harpoon Crews turn their skill to hunting down the monsters that robbed them of their beloved ship. In the wilds of Ghyran, there are PLENTY of monsters to spare, so these warriors will have their work cut out for them. Plus, that unit champion is incredible. I definitely want to make an Admiral conversion using that trident.

Zontari Endrin Dock

Like all the other factions, the Kharadron Overlords are FINALLY getting a terrain piece. As expected, it buffs skyvessels, but it looks to be doing a LOT more than that. First, it can deploy smaller Endrincraft to assist the Kharadron in battle, which is super cool. Second, it looks like it moves! I’m really excited to find out more about this awesome piece when the KO book drops!

What do you think of the new models?
