‘Pathfinder’ and ‘Starfinder’ August and September Releases Impacted in Book Trade Channel
Paizo, Inc. announced that some their upcoming Q3 releases will not be available at major bookstores and Amazon as a result of the Diamond Comic Distributors bankruptcy.
Paizo has been caught in the wake of “The Diamond Mess” (see “Hostage Inventory and the Diamond Mess“) as they were partners with Diamond for book trade distribution of Pathfinder and Starfinder products. As a result of the bankruptcy, Diamond has sold their remaining inventory of Pathfinder and Starfinder into Amazon on Paizo’s behalf, and Paizo is no longer shipping their products to Diamond. This transfer of inventory and slow moving bankruptcy proceedings will make certain August and September 2025 Paizo releases not widely available at major bookstores or Amazon.
