Next week’s big patch has a load of updates for the Lizardmen, Tomb Kings, and the game as a whole. Here’s what to expect.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is getting ready for a big, bold new patch that tackles everything from audio & visual improvements, to the Tomb Kings, Lizardmen, and a whole lot more. Next week is going to be a great week to start a new campaign. But while we wait, here’s a look at how the Tomb Kings and Lizardmen are getting “Warhammer3ified.”

Total War: Warhammer 3 – What Lies In Store For Patch 6.3

In a new devlog, we get a glimpse at what lies in store for Total War: Warhammer 3 with Patch 6.3. The Tomb Kings and Lizardmen factions are at the top of the list – but they are by no means the only thing touched. In fact, so much is happening, including a big trait rebalance, that Creative Assembly recommends starting a new campaign with the new patch.

First up, Tomb Kings get a fresh update. The factions’ overall campaign pace and resources have been improved. The early game, especially feels like it gets a boost with a revision to the Books of Nagash. While canopic jars get a rework for more mid-and-late-game power. And the whole Tech Tree gets an overhaul with more bonuses at each unlock.

The Lizardmen, on the other hand, have also seen their faction reworked. All according to the Great Plan outlined by their Slann masters. Mostly this means a big Tech Tree rework. You’ll find new effects, and lower requirements on the whole. The Lizardmen big dinos also get some big buffs, including Wallbreaker traits to let your big guys knock down most everything in their path.

And both Lizardmen and Tomb Kings have seen a pretty in-depth review of their unique skills. Many have gained either replacements, new effects, or tweaks to make them feel more like a faction that belongs in Total War: Warhammer 3.

But it’s more than just these two factions. The other big change is a Trait Rebalance that tackles all those traits that make your characters feel unique and powerful. While it has been untouched since the launch of Immortal Empires, Creative Assembly looks to change that.

Plus you’ll find a host of other improvements including new unusual locations. Plus blood spatter on the camera (one of the few things people loved from Pharaoh), new voiceover lines and improvements – there’s a lot to dig through, and you can read through the full list of changes at the devlog here.
