The Defenders have a new Affiliation Pack for Marvel: Crisis Protocol and we’re taking a closer look at the contents today!

With a release date of *checks calendar* tomorrow, August 22, 2025, the Defenders Affiliation Pack is on the way! If you’re looking for an entry point into the Affiliation or just looking to snag some heroes you might have missed the first time around, now is your change. Atomic Mass Games sent us a review copy and I’m diving in. Plus I have a few other surprises in store. So let’s get to it!

With the new Defenders Affiliation Pack box in hand time to dive in…

Defenders Affiliation Pack Unboxed

As with …basically all the Atomic Mass Games products at this point, we’ve gotten used to what to expect. There are sprues in of the miniatures in one bag. And the other bag has all the cards for the supported languages. This set also comes with some additional tokens for the characters/cards included. More pics of those below.

Card-wise, you get the new versions of the character cards included with this one. I’ve actually covered the Defenders and their changes before. Also, if you really want a better look at these cards you can find them on the product page.

The product page from AMG has all of the newest versions of the character cards (both healthy and injured sides) and also all of the latest versions of the Team Tactic Cards. So…yeah, go check those out if you really want to deep dive into the cards.

The Miniatures of the Defenders

As far as the sprues go, these haven’t changed. Daredevil’s torso did break off in transit, but because it was all in the plastic baggy, I found that bit with ease. Other than that, you get more bases than you need. Again, these miniatures have been out for a while so if you already have the old versions nothing’s changed in this pack but the cards. So I’m glad to have the new versions of those because…

I have all these miniatures painted up and ready to rock already. I’ve actually been playing with them. I still think Ben’s breakdown of the Defenders roster is on point in general. But I also like to experiment and have fun in non-competitive ways. Speaking of fun things, Atomic Mass Games also did something pretty cool for the release of the Defenders.

These were all done by Artist Patrick Brown and were uploaded from Atomic Mass Games’ Facebook page. I REALLY love the art work here and wanted to promote/share it. We don’t often get these larger sized art spreads for the MCP characters and the fact that AMG posted them for the Defenders release is just a cherry on top. I might have to make a wallpaper or two out of these…

Anyhow, the Defenders are technically still up for pre-order until tomorrow. But you can order them now.
