If you’re unleashing eldritch horror, do it in style. Use the new Call of Cthulhu collector editions. Like the one for Masks of Nyarlathotep.

Chaosium just unveiled a new suite of Call of Cthulhu collector editions. You can find your favorite book as a tome worth writing a letter to that estranged, worthless nephew of yours about. He lives somewhere reasonable. Like Surrey, or Maine, doesn’t he? Surely one little letter about an ancient tome that ends with you saying, “even now they’re at the door, the window -” and then suddenly trails off are now available for Pulp Cthulhu, The Grand Grimoire of Cthulhu Mythos Magic, and the epic Masks of Nyarlathotep!

Call of Cthulhu Collector’s Editions Unveiled

Like the old saying goes, when Cthulhu calls, he calls collect. Collect-or’s edition, that is. And what a collector’s edition each of these books is. They are each done up in deluxe black leatherette. And in the case of Masks of Nyarlathotep (which is honestly the one I’d be lining up for), there’s an actual slipcase, because MoN is a biiiig campaign that comes in two volumes, comprising over 600 pages. It’s the campaign that made campaign handouts a thing, back in the day.

And besides just thinking that everyone should check out an important part of the TTRPG canon, these are cool books for anyone into Call of Cthulhu. You might pick up Pulp Cthulhu, with its two-fisted action. Bring a Tommy gun to a shoggoth fight and it might actually end up pretty good.

Or check out the Grand Grimoire of Cthulhu Mythos Magic. Because when has having a big, leather(ette)-bound tome of spells from the elder things that exist between the stars ever been a bad idea? I can’t think of any time that’s gone horribly wrong. And neither can you.

And these are just the latest collector’s editions to join the fray. You can find deluxe leatherette versions of a surprising number of Cthulhu titles just waiting for you. If you want to have the kind of sitting room that is where many Mythos books begin (or end), you might snap up Regency Cthulhu in leatherette, and mix manners and mythos.

Or you know, just grab collector’s editions of the core rules, or the core rules for Cthulhu by Gaslight. Like a normal person would. Either way, these collector’s editions are available now on Chaosium’s webstore. Check ’em out at the link below!

Soon, of course, the stars will be right!
