Games Workshop dropped the Balance Dataslate for Warhammer 40,000 yesterday. And it seems it was a tad early.

I hope everyone is ready for a shift in the meta because the Balance Dataslate arrived about a week early. At least on the Warhammer: The App. Well, in an effort to maintain parity for everyone, GW released the English version online and the translations will come out next week. But for now, let’s get to those files.

“We want to make sure you can see the updates in one place, so we’re launching the English language files here on Warhammer Community today. We’re still working on translations for all our supported languages and they’ll appear next week as scheduled, alongside full updates on the app.

You can also look forward to a full interview with the Warhammer Studio on the changes, here on Warhammer Community. Stay tuned for more!”

Balance Dataslate Arrives Early

The Balance Dataslate isn’t the only thing that came out yesterday either. There’s a TON of FAQs out for many armies.

Aside from the Balance Dataslate there’s also a change to the Munitorum Field Manual (aka the Points). So you’re going to want to download that as well. This does feel like a bit of an overload of stuff right now — but that’s okay. Many of these updates are just a few lines on a page or so of FAQs. That said, its a bit too much to correlate here.

I would highly recommend you snag the Balance Dataslate, the Munitorum Field Manual, and you’re respective army’s FAQ/rules. The Core Rules Update is probably worth a look, too. Just incase anything directly impacts your army.

There’s still a lot to chew on and I’m sure we’ll see even more about this one when it gets a follow up next week. But for this weekend, just read on and try to digest some of these changes ahead of time.

Shaking up the meta? We’ll find out!
