Spider-Man has one of the best and most iconic Rogues Galleries in all of comics. Here’s a few suggestions for the next boxed set.

I’ve been going back over the character rosters in Marvel: Crisis Protocol recently and I’ve noticed a few things. Much like the comics, there essentially buckets of characters to pull from for both heroes and villains. Now, they do overlap a lot but here’s the broad categories I’ve noticed:

  • Avengers
  • Asgardians
  • Cosmic
  • Mutants
  • Mystic/Magic
  • Spiderverse

Again, these are broad categories and they do overlap in areas. That’s kind of why there are more specific Affiliations in MCP. Anyhow, we’re about to get a bunch of Spiderverse characters which is great. And we’re even getting a new Starter Pack featuring the majority of the Spider-Foes. And yeah, that’s also great.

Spider-Foes Starter Set $94.99 (Pre-Order)

So why do I want more Spider-Foes in a new character pack? It’s simple: Because I’m still shocked they aren’t in the game yet! That said, all it would take is a single character pack to add these three into the game. Shoot, I’ll even toss in a bonus, too!

Scorpion

Okay, okay…I know I’ve mentioned Mac Gargon before. But c’mon! Scorpion is supposed to be the Spider-Man killer. We all know that Mac Gargan was basically tricked/conned/manipulated into becoming the Scorpion by J. Jonah Jamison. At least, that’s sort of what he’d leave you to believe. Anyhow, Scorpion and Spider-Man have had some pretty epic battles and I think that he’d be a fan favorite addition to the game.

Hobgoblin

Yes. I have mentioned Hobgoblin before, too. But the point still stands. Hobgoblin should 100% be added to the game. If for no other reason than I think AMG could do some amazing stuff with the miniature now. It’s not that I don’t like Green Goblin’s mini. I just think that a new Hobgoblin would look even better than GG’s mini. I don’t know what happened between now and when MCP launched, but it sure feels like AMG has stepped up their sculpting game for MCP these days.

Beetle

Abner Jenkins is the Beetle in Marvel Comics. He’s had multiple versions of his Beetle Armor and has fought against the likes of the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and of course Spider-Man. What’s neat about this character in particular is the cross-over potential in the buckets I mentioned above. That’s also because Beetle has been associated with the Thunderbolts roster, too. Anyhow, I think he’d be a good addition and because he’s had so many crazy Beetle armor versions, AMG could have a lot of fun designing this miniature for MCP!

Again, I think that these three characters in particular would be an awesome addition to MCP as a single character pack. That said, there’s one more that I wouldn’t mind seeing pop-up, too. However, this one get’s a little weird as we have to dip into the multiverse…

Ultimate Green Goblin

Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) #116 via Marvel Comics

I’m not going to get into all the crazy details. But this version of Ultimate Green Goblin is a complete menace! Now, I also have noticed that this is yet another big green guy in purple pants. That’s not lost on me either. But UGG has additional pyro powers and it’s kind of wild. Anyhow, I’m also in favor of larger miniatures as well and I think this could work. Plus, he’s from Miles Morales’ universe. So…maybe this could be more of his villain than Peter Parker’s Spider-Man.
