Games Workshop has new Battleforce Boxes for both Death and Destruction. Let’s see what sort of a deal we can expect from them.
There’s actually four new Battleforces on the way for Age of Sigmar. Today, we’re tackling Death and Destruction with their respective boxes. These do look enticing if you’re wanting to launch a brand new army for either faction. They represent their Grand Alliance pretty well. Now it’s time to bust out the math and see if these are going to be a good deal.
One more thing before we dive in: We don’t have a confirmation on the pricing for these Battleforces. That said, I’m going to list out a few different price points. To be honest, the individual MSRPs vary quite a bit on these so I wouldn’t be too shocked if GW priced them differently. You’ll see what I mean below.

Total Individual MSRP $402
Total Savings
A 30% discount would be a price of $281.40. Based on that, I could see this one being priced around the following:
- $260 = $142 in savings
- $280 = $122 in savings
- $300 = $102 in savings
If this box is in the $280-$300 ballpark that seems similar to what we’ve seen from other Battleforces. If this box sells for less than $280, I think you’re going to get a steal of a deal with it from Games Workshop. Personally, if I was going to get an AoS Battleforce, this one would be high on my list. But I’ve always had a soft spot for the Blood Knights. I also just like smaller, more elite armies when I play AoS — less stuff to push around the tabletop.

Total Individual MSRP $378
Total Estimated Savings
A 30% discount would be a price of $264.60. Based on that, I could see this one being priced around the following:
- $240 = $138 in savings
- $260 = $118 in savings
- $280 = $98 in savings
So our very own GentleBen had a similar army to this one. To be fair, it did have more troggoths in total. But I remember it being a pretty tough army! If Troggoths are your thing then this is a great way to go hard into that playstyle. Again, a lot of that is going to come down to the final price point but if this one is under $260 you’re getting a heckuva deal!
