Marvel: Crisis Protocol can add the West Coast Avengers with some very minor things. Let’s chat about what those are.

With the arrival of Tigra in the new Character Pack, Atomic Mass Games has opened the door for a new Affiliation. That Affiliation is the West Coast Avengers (also referred to as the Avengers of the West Coast). This is pretty classic team and the timing on this one couldn’t be better. But first, let’s take a look at the line-up.

Meet TheWest Coast Avengers

The original line up of the West Coast Avengers was:

  • Hawkeye
  • Mockingbird
  • Iron Man (James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine)
  • Wonder Man
  • Tigra

The team has expanded over the years and many other characters have joined and left the group. As you can see from the Picture above there’s a few more members in that image:

  • US Agent
  • Iron Man (Tony Stark)
  • Vision
  • Hank Pym
  • Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter)

And that’s not all. Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, The Wasp, and more characters have been apart of the team over time. So, as you can tell, the roster runs pretty deep.

The West Coast Avengers are also a great way to for AMG to introduce new characters and also update existing characters, too. Characters like Mockingbird, Wonder Man, US Agent, and Spider-Woman would all be cool additions to the game. This could be a great excuse to update Hawkeye (or give him a Leadership Team Tactic Card), Vision , and Hank Pym (as Goliath).

The Timing Couldn’t Be Better

Another big factor in all this is that both Wonder Man and Vision have important story arcs through the West Coast Avengers title. And, culturally speaking, this could the perfect time to get them both updated/added to the game.

Wonder Man is getting his own show in early 2026. There’s also a new “VisionQuest” is also show that’s supposed to be coming in 2026 as well. With the reconstructed Vision (now in white) taking the lead. At least, I’m assuming that based on the ending of WandaVision.

And look, I’m not going to pretend that adding all these new characters is going to be as easy as snapping my fingers. I’m not Thanos. That’s why I think pitching and planning for these characters should have probably started a while ago. I don’t know the process from AMG’s side of the house but based on how their preview process has been it can take a year to get a character from “teaser” to “on the shelf” — which is why they need to get the process going now.

Personally, I’m still hoping we get the Fantastic Four (and Doom) in 2026. I do think there was a better window to announce those characters. But that time has passed. I just hope AMG doesn’t miss this opening with the West Coast Avengers. A quick tease or announcement would be perfect in early 2026!
