Malum Caedo is back in a sequel I’d hope we’d see. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II is bringing the BOOM once again!

Sometimes you just want to blow stuff up. Digitally! That’s why I do enjoy the many Warhammer 40k shooters that are out there. One such shooter that was a nice little gem was Boltgun. It was certainly a bit of a throw back to the old school shooters. Or Boomer Shooters as they are also known as. Graphically, it’s certainly a stylistic choice that reminds me of the games I grew up playing.

That said, I was glad to see we’re getting a sequel! Get ready for more Boltgun action in Boltgun II!

From the video description:

Pledge your allegiance to the Imperial faith and storm into combat as Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2!

You’ll be able to choose between two playable characters in the sequel for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, each offering their own unique abilities, weapons, and play style!

Boltgun II – Even More Boltguns

If you couldn’t tell from the video and the description, yes, we’ve got a second playable character! A member of the Sisters of Battle, Nyra Veyrath, is joining the ranks as a second playable character!

From the video, we can see she’s got access to quite a few weapons of the Imperium like the classic Power Sword/Bolt Pistol combo. I also appreciate the prayer beads wrapped around her wrist in the animation.

Additionally, from the Steam Page:

“Following directly on from the end of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, your duty takes you to new locations in a branching, single-player campaign that effortlessly blends the grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe with a fast-paced first-person shooter.”

This one is still going to have the high octane and low-poly count action from the previous game. However, there’s a whole lot more going on this time! New enemies, new worlds, new weapons, and even more surprises this time around.

This one is slated for a 2026 release. If you liked the last one then this one should get you excited. I’m curious to see how the Sister plays different as well as the branching campaign in this one.

Fire up your Retro-Blasters. It’s Boltgun II time!
