That’s right folks, there’s a new edition of Blood Bowl and it’s coming up for preorder next week. You can secure your shot at gridiron glory by snagging the big new edition box. But it’s more than just the Third Season box – you’ll also find two new teams and the new rulebook available individually as well. All this, next week!
It’s lt’s A Blood Bowl (Third Season Edition) Blitz
Blood Bowl is back with a brand new edition. And kicking everything off is the new boxed set which has everything you need to start playing. You get the full Blood Bowl experience, which in this case means the new Third Season rulebook, weighing in at a hefty 200 pages. You’ll also get a double-sided pitch and dugouts, as well as 37 new game tokens for tracking injuries and statuses, templates, dice, cheat sheets – the works.
Speaking of the new 200 page rulebook, you can also snag that separately. This big book of Blood Bowl updates the ruleset to the new edition. But for Blood Bowl Third Season Edition, it sounds like it’s less about making sweeping changes, and more about revising things. Making it easier to read and play. It “builds upon the strong foundations of its predecessor.”

And it wouldn’t be a new edition of Blood Bowl without two new teams. The first of which is the Brionne Barons. These are Bretonnian nobles who have taken to the pitch with their loyal and/or hapless squires in search of glory the way only Bretonnia can, in a heavy charge. This team comes with 12 miniatures. You’ll get six Bretonnian Squire Linemen, two Knight Catchers, two Knight Throwers, and two Grail Knight Blitzers, as well as two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, two Turn and Re-roll Markers, and four balls.
Meanwhile the Nehekharan Nightmares are here to prove that they’re the true royalty on the pitch. Ancient plays and strategies are their purview, for they, like Blood Bowl, are immortal. In this kit, you’ll get 14 miniatures: two Tomb Kings Blitzers, two Tomb Kings Throwers, four Tomb Guardians, and six Skeleton Linemen, as well as two double-sided Blood Bowl coins, two Turn and Re-roll Markers, and four balls.
