We’ve got our hands on the new Separatist Alliance Starter Set and it’s completely loaded with Droids for Star Wars: Legion!

Atomic Mass Games was kind enough to send us a review copy of the new Star Wars: Legion Separatist Alliance Starter Set. I was the luck one that got to dive into this box full of droids. I wasn’t planning on playing this faction. But now? I may have caught the dreaded Droid-Virus. I’m feeling very *Beep Boop* about this one!

This box is pretty hefty. It’s packed to the gills with droids, dice, tools, templates, and every thing you need to start playing a 600-point Recon Force.

I’ve got a lot of of gluing droid bits together in my future. With that said, let’s get into the box!

Unboxing

First up, as mentioned above, you get a complete 600-point Recon force in this box. This is basically designed as a one-stop shop for new (or veteran) players to jump into the Separatist Alliance. The flyer above has the example list and there’s actually multiple copies of this in the various supported languages.

From there, because this box has everything you need, you’ll get a full play set of all the tokens you’ll need to run a game of Star Wars: Legion (and probably way more than you actually need for now). Plus, the dice and measuring tools you’ll need as well.

And yes, it’s the same set from the other starter sets — which makes sense because they are all starter sets…Pretty sure that’s clear by now. Anyhow, let’s get to the minis!

Everything comes in bags. You’ve got all the sprues in the bag as well as ALL the bases. There’s also play sets of cards in their respective languages, too. As for the sprues…

There’s a TON in there. I counted six sprues of the basic B1 Battle Droids. That’s not counting the two other upgrade/command sprues for them. You also get sprues for the Droidekas, and the beefier B2 Super Battle Droids as well. Leading this Droid army is General Grievous himself.

A Droid Deal That’s Tough To Beat

Now, if you want to get a look at all the cards, you can actually download them all direct from AMG right Here. So I’m not going to go over each one. Trust me when I say it’s everything you need inside the box to play this army. You’ll just need to get to clipping and gluing your droids!

Overall, I really love what AMG is doing with these starter sets. The price is awesome for what you’re getting and it’s essentially the core of the whole army. You’re not locked-in to one build. The units inside are generally useful. So you can go out and get the more specialized units to grow your collection.

The Separatist Alliance Starter Set is currently out now and in stores. Good luck getting your hands on this one. It’s a steal of a deal!

Star Wars: Legion – Separatist Alliance Starter Set $99.99

The Separatist Alliance was formed by outlying star systems that aligned themselves against what they believed to be a corrupt Galactic Republic. Exploiting their sizable workforce, the Separatist Alliance has created a massive droid army that it frequently deploys to push back against the Galactic Republic’s control. While these battle droids are not the most proficient fighters, the vast amount of them the Separatist Alliance is able to put onto the battlefield has made them a considerable threat to the Republic.

The Separatist Alliance Starter Set contains a 600-point Recon-level army and all the dice, templates, tools, and tokens a player needs to begin playing their first games of Star WarsTM: Legion. When a player is ready for even bigger games, this starter serves as an ideal starting point for players to expand and customize their armies with additional units from other Star Wars: Legion unit boxes.
