There is a big Fallout RPG sale going on DriveThruRPG right now, where you can save on almost every title in the collection.
Nothing says “war, war never changes” like a month-long sale on pretty much all Fallout RPG titles out there. And that’s exactly what is happening right now on DriveThruRPG, where you can save 33% on a wide swath of books in Modiphius’ Fallout RPG line. From the core rulebook to expansions like the Gamemaster’s Toolkit or campaigns like Winter of Atom you can either get started or round out your collection on the cheap right now.
DriveThruRPG’s Fallout RPG Sale – This Month Only
If you’ve never played it, Modiphius’s Fallout RPG takes the Wasteland, drawing mainly from the canon of the Bethesda games (and in particular Fallout 4) and expands out into something you can play and explore at your tabletop. It uses the 2d20 system that you might be familiar with if you’ve played Star Trek Adventures. But if not, you’ll get your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. characteristics, and try and roll under the number with a handful of d20s (but usually 2). Of course, that’s just the basics.
The RPG has a lot of depth, especially these days with the release of the many splatbooks that have come out over the game’s relatively short lifespan. For instance, in the Wanderer’s Guide Book, you get all the special rules and tools to make a Wasteland Wanderer (though the GM gets toys too, so be wary).
If you’re not sure where to start, there’s always the absolutely free Fallout Quickstart rules. But you probably might want to check out the Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook, which has basically everything you need to play:
“Our 438-page rulebook contains rules and lore for roleplaying in the Fallout world, as well as concept art from the Fallout videogames. Utilizing Modiphius’ celebrated 2d20 cinematic roleplaying system, the Fallout RPG will take players on an exciting journey into the post-apocalypse!
Create your own survivors, super mutants, ghouls, and even Mister Handy robots. Immerse yourselves in the iconic post-nuclear apocalyptic world of Fallout, while gamemasters guide their group through unique stories and encounters. The 2d20 edition of Fallout is as close to the bottlecap bartering, wasteland wandering, Brotherhood battling excitement as you can get.”
And if you have that already, I would recommend either the Winter of Atom campaign, which is a sweeping campaign that expands on the Children of Atom and also has a weird circus faction that you can join up with? Or, if you’re looking to expand your options, the _____ Guide Books are the way to go. There’s a few different ones, including the Wanderer’s and Settler’s Guide Books. Or if you’re a GM, grab the NPC packs.
You can find the core rulebook (and the rest of the sale) at the link below!
This might be just the game to start a flame in your heart!
