The Clone Trooper Marksmen are here and ready to take aim and fire. It’s Star Wars: Legion turn to send in more clones!
Atomic Mass Games sent me a review copy of the latest Star Wars: Legion Clone Trooper Marksmen box and it’s packed with exact what you’d expect. This boxed set is really well designed — not just in terms of what’s on the sprue but also as a good next step from the Galactic Republic Starter Box. So let’s get inside and see what these clones are made of!
Clone Trooper Marksmen…for when you just need some more firepower.
Clone Trooper Marksmen Unboxed
So once again we’ve got an AMG product on our hands. That means the sprues, bases, and cards are all in their own baggies. While I like this as it keeps everything in the box tidy I’m really starting to amass a collection of these plastic bags. Good thing I’ve got a lot of bits that need to get organized. But seriously, I do like the baggy for the sprues in particular because if a bit breaks off in transit, it’s still in the bag. Which has happened to me once or twice. Anyhow, on to the cards…
The majority of the army’s cards are available for free online from AMG. However, I wasn’t sure if this unit was included. The good news is that all of these cards are included in the box and you get a play set for each supported language. This is basically the standard now for AMG products. I will say that the art has been consistently good from their studio, too. I wanted to show of the Trooper card above because of that art! AMG, we need a wall paper pack for phones/desktops. I’m just tossing that out there…
Now for the Sprues!
This one comes with a total of 11 bases and three sprues. Two of the sprues are identical and actually stack on top of each other. The third sprue is for some of the custom extras like the mortar option. Really though, this unit adds those extra firepower Clone Troopers in the mix to up the lethality of the Clone Infantry options. If you’re looking for a really good meat-and-potatoes unit to add, you can’t go wrong with this one!
The cool thing is that this set is already out and in stores. So if you’re looking for an addition to your army beyond the 600-point Recon army in the starter set, keep an eye out for this box!
Star Wars: Legion – Clone Trooper Marksmen $54.99
Clone troopers are skilled with a wide variety of weapons, however, the DC-15 has become the mainstay of the clone army. Clone Marksmen use the DC-15 blaster rifle alongside heavy weapons to create a withering hail of accurate firepower. This Star WarsTM: Legion Clone Trooper Marksmen box adds 11 Clone Trooper Marksmen miniatures, enough for 1 Corps unit. This is an excellent next-step expansion for players looking to build their Galactic Republic larger than a Recon-level army.
