Total War: Warhammer 40K isn’t even close to out yet, but the playerbase is hungry for it. More than one million have wishlisted it on Steam.
Total War: Warhammer 40K has captured the imagination – and the hype – of a playerbase extremely eager for it. At least if you go by the numbers. As of today, Total War 40K has hit more than one million wishlists on Steam.
Total War: Warhammer 40K Hits Over 1 Million Wishlist
Seriously, that’s a huge milestone. While I don’t know the exact ratio of wishlists to eventual sales, it’s a good sign that the audience is eager for Total War 40K, to put it mildly. If even a tenth of that translates to a dedicated playerbase, that’s still 100,000 players who will keep going at it. But the real number is probably going to be much more.
It’s no surprise thoough. Total War and 40K seem destined for each other. It should be relatively easy for Creative Assembly to make this game profitable. The question stands, will it be good?
I, like many others, am hopeful that it will be. This could be the next “forever game” once you finally get tired of summoning the elector-counts (if such a thing is possible). And with this milestone under its belt, that’s sure to boost morale of the team.
“What a milestone! Thanks to your incredible support, Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 just hit 1 million wishlists on Steam! We are beyond grateful and unbelievably excited to share more with you all in the coming months, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels!”
But with the hype fully invested, hopefully this helps convince higher ups at CA or Sega that people might want something from this game beyond just the usual audience you might expect. It’s clear that Creative Assembly has the hearts of its players in its hands right now, the question is, what will they do with them?
Stay tuned for more from Total War: Warhammer 40K in the coming months!
