Descend into the appropriately named Bastardhall, a cursed castle where mysterious vanishings aren’t even the worst thing that happens.

Pathfinder has a darker tone in an upcoming new adventure. Taking cues from things like Castlevania and Dark Souls, the aptly named Bastion of Blasphemies will set adventurers upon one of the most notoriously haunted castles in all of Golarion. Curses, undead, demons, and worse await in a complete campaign that will take players from Levels 5-13.

Pathfinder: Bastion of Blasphemies – Try The Most haunted Castle In Golarion

I mena, just one look at the cover and you can see the Castlevania vibes, for sure. For one, the adventure is set in Ustalav, Golarion’s gloomily gothic realm, where a series of mysterious disappearances have followed in the wake of the Black Coach of Bastardhall. First, what a name. Second, this adventure comes from Pathfinder Co-Creator James Jacobs.

It’s intended as a complete adventure path, a campaign that will take players all the way to level 13, with a level 5 jumping off point. Which makes it a great place to go once you’ve finished the Troubles in Grayce adventure anthology, which is itself due out later this May.

Both Troubles in Grayce and Bastion of Blasphemies are two adventures designed with light horror in mind. From the dark haunted catacombs of Bastardhall, to the stories of cryptids, vampires, and sinister scientists, in Grayce it seems that horror is in store for Pathfinder.

“Florin Kindler lost her parents to one of Ustalav’s most notorious hauntings—they perished, as so many have, after a visit from the Black Coach of Bastardhall. Arguably the most notorious of all the haunted castles of the Inner Sea region, Bastardhall’s mysteries have brought Florin and her adventuring companions in search of answers to the centuries-long curse that blights the ruins, but the castle has other plans than simply giving up what it hides, as those who dare to enter its haunted halls are doomed to vanish forever. Will your PCs be able to break the curse of Bastardhall and escape, or are they fated to become the latest in a long line of vanishings into one of Golarion’s most infamous ruins?”

This is yet another adventure path that follows the new Pathfinder 2E design. You get the whole campaign in one book, instead of spread out over a few volumes. It comes in either regular or deluxe with a faux leather cover and metalic deboss elements and a bound-in ribbon bookmark.

Look for Bastion of Blasphemies much later in 2026.

Bastardhall is near Doomcave and Horror Canyon, I’m sure!
