It looks like someone has a fancy new scope to aim with in the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. But who’s packing this heat?
Welcome to another Tuesday! You know what that means? It’s time for the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. We’ve got a new image that actually pretty clear in terms of what it is. That said, this one is still kind of funky. Take a look for yourself!
Well this one is just a gun. Whose idea was it to put a really obvious gun on the Rumour Engine? Look, the person holding it even has fingers. How many things have fingers in Warhammer?
Rumor Engine – Aiming Down Sights
So this is clearly some sort of rifle with a scope. We can also see a strap as well as a humanoid had holding the rifle. Does that help narrow things down? Not really. What’s kind of odd however is the rifle itself. The shape is kind of bulbous and odd. It certainly doesn’t look like something from a Space Marine’s arsenal.
I wanted to check on the Skitarii’s weapons but even they don’t have rifles shaped like the one above. Between their exotic weapons, I thought that they might have something similiar though. But no. Also their hands are a bit too mechanical to match.
I also thought that maybe the Aeldari could have made this strange weapon. But the Aeldari Ranger’s scopes look very Aeldari and not like something from a semi-modern human invention. So scratch that idea. Maybe I’m looking at the wrong side of the Warhammer coin…
So there are the classic Hochland Long Rifle that the Empire Engineers use. Now, they are a tad old-timey but I am thinking they might be relevant. Maybe this is a new rifle from the Old World. Or even the Age of Sigmar. I honestly don’t know at this point. That’s where you come in!
