Someone in the Imperium is getting a serious Power Fist. That’s not a question. But who’s packing this weapon? It’s Rumor Engine time!
Welcome to another Tuesday and a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Today’s image is fairly straightforward. But that doesn’t mean all the questions are answered. So let’s just get into it already!
Sometimes it’s not about the ‘what’, it’s about the ‘who’. This is very clearly a big, Imperial fist of some sort – no, not those Imperial Fists – and what we really want to know is who it’s attached to. An Inquisitor? An Astra Militarum officer? Lord Solar Macharius come back from the dead to slap some rubbish generals into order?
Rumor Engine – Imperial Fisticuffs
I think the text from the WarCom team sums this one up nicely. We know it’s a fist of the powered variety. Now, who’s packing this punching machine?
We’ve had quite a few interesting Inquisitor characters with some rather unique war gear. Perhaps it’s another Inquisitor. Then again, I’m not sure if this Power Fist is quite fancy enough. Maybe it’s for an Astra Militarum character. Or maybe it’s more generic than even that.
Anyone else ever wonder about the Tempestus Scions? I think about them from time-to-time. They were kind of the “elite” of the Imperial Guard for a bit. But between the updated Cadians and the Death Korps of Krieg, they just kind of got overshadowed.
Now, they DID get that Kill Team back in 2024. The Tempestus Aquilons. I thought that was a nice way for GW to upscale them. But we never really saw much else. But now I’m starting to think that maybe GW is planning on updating that range with some more new kits. I wonder how the Kasrkin feel about that.
Oh well! I guess we’re going to have to sit on this one for a bit. How long do you think before GW reveals this one? If you’ve got any theories we’d love to see what you think. Drop us a line in the comments with your crazy ideas.
What if it’s actually NOT an Imperial Power Fist? Now THAT would be a curveball.
