It’s Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, & K-2SO along with the new 3D objectives for Star Wars: Legion up close and under the spotlight!

Star Wars: Legion has a had a bunch of new kits come out recently. Atomic Mass Games sent me more kits to review so shout out to them for that. Today, I’ve got the new re-boxed version of Cassian Andro, Jyn Erso, and K2-SO as well as the brand new 3D objective markers to take a look at. So let’s dive on in an see what these boxes are all about.

This is technically a rebox of their previous kits. So the miniatures are the same. But we’re still going to go into all the details.

Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso & K-2SO Unboxed

As with typical Atomic Mass Games products we’ve got the contents in their own baggies. It’s worth noting that the Jyn Erso bits were already pre-cut but we’ll get to more on that below. We also have the cards in all the various supported languages, too.

Here’s a look at the new/updated cards. As far as I know, these have all been updated from their previous incarnations to be in line with Star Wars: Legion’s current formatting and rules. So even if you had these previously, it might be worth a look at this kit for the cards.

Now, as mentioned, the miniatures are reboxes of the previous sprues:

That does explain why Jyn Erso was pre-cut and in her own miniature bag. I will also mention that she’s not the same hard plastic that Cassian and K2 are made of. Additionally, you can see she’s got the old style “pegs” for attaching her arms. This does make it really simple to build. I used plastic glue to assemble her and that seemed to work fine. Although it might be better to use super glue on her instead.

Rogue One – Up Close

I did assemble all of the miniatures and I am pleased with the results. They each have a lot of nice details and I like their sculpts and poses.

K2-SO has a few different options for arms and I felt like this was a pretty easy build. He’s got some spindly parts so just take your time with assembly and try not to snap anything.

Again, Jyn is an older style miniature. If I had to do it over again, I probably would use super glue. But I think it turned out fine. Any gaps will be filled before I prime as well. I think I can only see them now because the pictures are so much bigger than the miniatures.

I liked the Andor sculpt a lot. It’s got a few different weapon options included. You have two different pistols as well as a rifle option if you choose. I also liked how much extra detail there is on this sculpts clothing. He’s going to be a fun miniature to paint up for a hobby project.

This is kit out now from Asmodee and you should also be able to find it on your local store shelves, too!

This expansion contains Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, and K-2SO miniatures, enough for 3 Operative units, as well as Unit, Command, and Upgrade Cards to support gameplay. This pack is a reissue of the previously released SWL59 Cassian Andor & K-2SO and SWL31 Jyn Erso for Star WarsTM: Legion. This pack includes the same miniatures as SWL59 and SWL31 but updates the packaging and cards to the new SWQ multilingual format.

New 3D Objective Tokens For Star Wars: Legion

Next up are the 3D objective tokens. Normally, I’d give them their own article but I felt like it’s probably a better fit with these other miniatures. So let’s get into the box.

There’s lots of weird objectives of different sizes which isn’t a bad thing for the tabletop!

Again, everything is in bags. There is a clear plastic stand for one of the objectives which is a nice touch. They also each come with their own basing, too.

Sprue-wise, they come on two different sprues and assembling them is really easy as they each can only be built one way. They also slot into their bases one way, so again, super easy build.

After finishing them up I think they make for good 3D Objectives and are a big improvement over the flat tokens. That said, these are also just kind of generic objective markers in some ways. I can see hints at Star Wars with these objectives but some of them are just sorta there. The small canister in particular seems kind of bland. While some of the larger pieces look neat and have good textures on them. But I honestly couldn’t tell you which one is a Rhydonium Canister vs a HoloNet Transceiver. I do like the control panels and the random crates though!

If you’re looking for in-universe objective markers and don’t want to make your own this is a nice way to bypass that hobby work and get some appropriate 3D objectives. They are out now from Asmodee.

Rhydonium canisters, shield generators, Holonet transceivers, and even things as mundane as supply crates, targeting items like these may sway the battle in a faction’s favor in the struggle for galactic control.

3D Objective Tokens features highly detailed, sculpted objective tokens inspired by iconic items and technology from the Star WarsTM galaxy, making every battle feel more immersive.

Time for a little Rebellion if you ask me!
