Catalyst Game Labs will release Voltron: Legendary Defender RPG, an TTRPG core rulebook, into retail in the second half of 2026.
This RPG has been in the works for a few years now, dating back to when Catalyst obtained the Voltron license in 2024 (see “‘Voltron’ License“). The Kickstarter campaign, which occurred in December 2024, raised $139,648 from 1,455 backers (about $96 per backer), and offered up two separate Voltron RPGs: one for the Defender of the Universe series and one for the Legendary Defender series. Both of these games run on the Dice Core system, and characters created with either book are compatible with the other. The Voltron: Legendary Defender RPG core rulebook contains plot hooks and character information specific to the Legendary Defender universe.
It will retail for $39.99.
