With the ever growing roster of Characters in Marvel: Crisis Protocol I can’t help but wonder why these Affiliations aren’t in the game.

On the surface, there’s already plenty of Affiliations in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. So I can understand why Atomic Mass Games would want to keep that list tight and trimmed. Adding more Affiliations compounds things and can really make balancing the game troublesome. But hey, that’s not my job to worry about. So here’s a few more Affiliations I’d love to see added just because I think they’d be cool. Plus, there’s a few of them that already have characters in the game and would just need a Team Tactic Card to retro-actively create them.

Heroes For Hire

So this is already a Team Tactic Card. And the OG Heroes are really just Luke Cage and Iron Fist. So perhaps I can see why this could just stay as a Team Tactic Card. However, over the years this group has had a bunch of different characters. It’s had quite a history with the likes of Hercules, White Tiger (not the one from the MCU), Black Knight, Ant-Man, and even She-Hulk (as corporate counsel). There’s also later versions that included Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Shang-chi to name a few.

The point being not only would this Affliation allow for a BUNCH of cool “street-level” heroes to have a place, but it would also open up the door for a bunch more of those same characters to enter the game. And I think that’s worth it!

Alpha Flight

Alpha Flight is group with a long history in Marvel. Even if you’re not super familiar with them you probably know that Wolverine was associate with them at one point but left the group. Anyhow, while Alpha Flight never really took off as a mainline comic, they still have some pretty interesting characters. This would be a whole new batch of characters and it’s own Affiliation as well. If we can get the Winter Guard then surely we can get Alpha Flight.

Eternals

So the MCU movie didn’t really kick off the next wave of Marvel Movies like the studio wanted. But The Eternals are another one of those groups that have a really long history in Marvel and are deserving of a look. They are Jack Kirby creation and there was certainly a lot of mythological and cosmological developments going on with them. If anything, I think adding them to Marvel: Crisis Protocol could cause balance issues just because these characters are a tad over many of the other characters on the power scale.

Anyhow, if MCP was ever looking to drop in some really potent heavy hitters The Eternals might be a perfect fit.

Champions (of Los Angeles)

So this one is certainly a weird line-up! But I like it. We’ve already got Black Widow, Ghost Rider, Iceman, and Angel in the game. Really, it’s just Hercules to drop in. But really, he’s not even the leader of this team. To be fair, this team is kind of a mish-mash and it didn’t really stick around for too long (relatively speaking). But There’s also the more modern team that has the likes of  Ms. Marvel, Nova, and Spider-Man (Miles Morales). The new team also has a pretty wide roster of characrters in or coming to the game already. So I could see MCP adding them to the mix.

Intelligencia

I wanted to add this one in here because we’re getting the Leader in the game at some point. Plus we already have a M.O.D.O.K. (well TWO of them). And while this roster has some really weird villains, it also has Doctor Doom. And while we’re all waiting for the Fantastic Four to show up, I hoping that we could get a few of their villains first as sort of a “teaser” for them to show up. There’s also members like Red Ghost and Mad Thinker who would have cool options for Grunts to be added. Just tossing that out there.

I’d really like to see more villains added. What Affiliations would you like to see added to Marvel: Crisis Protocol?
