Dynamite is starting its own line of compact comics editions, and they are kicking it off with a collection of Pathfinder: Dark Waters Rising, based on the Paizo RPG. The 224-page, 5.5” x 8.5” graphic novel will collect the first six issues of the series, written by Jim Zub with art by Andrew Huerta and others. The book also includes a bonus 10-page story “The Last Mosswood Goblin,” and a section of worldbuilding details to tie in with the game or deepen the world of the story. The collection will be published in June 2026 and will have an MSRP of $9.99.
This collection is the first of a planned line of Compact Editions.
Dynamite inked a deal with Paizo to produce Pathfinder comics in 2012 (see “RPG Map in ‘Pathfinder’ Comics’”) and published the collection as a hardcover in 2013 (see “Preview: ‘Pathfinder Vol. 1: Dark Waters Rising’ HC”). A Pathfinder paperback omnibus is currently in the works (see “Dynamite to Publish ‘Pathfinder’ Omnibus”).
