Welcome Decks Get a Refresh for 'Magic: The Gathering – Secrets of Strixhaven'

Wizards of the Coast has announced the new Secrets of Strixhaven: Welcome Decks, for Magic: The Gathering, that will hit stores on April 24, 2026.

The Welcome Decks are getting a refresh with the release of the upcoming Secrets of Strixhaven set (see “Secrets of Strixhaven Unveiled“); the last Welcome Deck refresh occurred with the release of Marvel Spider-Man (see “Welcome Decks“). The five new 40-card decks are all monocolor and contain cards that can be used in the Standard format. Players can learn the game with a Welcome Deck and then, add the cards in it to a Standard constructed deck.
