The Golden Children of the Emperor are here to take over the Horus Heresy tabletop. It’s the Legio Custodes time to shine.
Games Workshop’s latest pre-orders are golden. Or at least painted that way. It’s the Legio Custodes and their big wave of new releases. If you picked up one of their big boxes a couple weeks ago this wave still has a few miniatures you might have missed. So let’s check out what’s coming from GW.

The stunningly detailed Contemptor Dreadnought can be built in one of 2 configurations – the dreadspear-armed Achillus, or the Galatus, equipped with a warblade and a Gravis praesidium shield. Both patterns are highly poseable. The Achillus has a choice of 2 spear heads, can be armed with a lastrum storm bolter, infernus incinerator, or Adrathic combi-destructor on each arm, and has the option of a closed or open left hand. There are also lots of cosmetic options, including 2 helmet facemasks, 2 helmet tops, 2 sculpted shoulder pad decorations, 2 chest decorations, and optional pteruges, making it easy to customise your devastating walker.

Sentinel Guard Sodality $73.50
Each Sentinel Guard is lavished in details, including sculpted iconography and filigree, giving them the ornate appearance you’d expect from the Emperor’s bodyguards. One miniature can be built as an optional Sentinel Vexillarius, exchanging their praesidium shield for a magisterium vexilla. They can also be assembled with either their sentinel warblade or misericordia in their left hand. The kit also includes 13 interchangeable heads – 6 helmeted and 7 bare – 6 plumes that are interchangeable across the helmets, and 6 interchangeable shields, making it easy to customise your legendary warriors.

Each member of the unit can be equipped with either a tarsus buckler and brutal kinetic destroyer to slay the Emperor’s enemies from afar, or a verutum lance to strike down foes in close combat. They can each take an optional neutronium cascade mine to destroy vehicles at the molecular level, and 2 Ventari can be assembled carrying these baleful devices in their hands. There are also a number of interchangeable parts, which make it easy to customise your swooping predators.
