Mantic Games has announced a new series of TerrainCrate accessories called TerrainCrate Battlefields, the first phase of a planned refresh for the entire TerrainCrate line.  The revamped line will begin rolling out in May.

Like other sets in the line, TerrainCrate Battlefields offers common scenery elements suitable for use with miniatures and role playing games.  The pieces are designed for ease of use and are suitable for most 28 to 32mm miniatures.

The first set in the new series will be the Fantasy Battlefield Pack, which comes with enough pieces to populate a typical six-foot by four-foot table space with a variety of natural and man-made features.  It includes flat-topped plastic hill pieces, pre-colored card-stock buildings, pre-assembled plastic trees and fences, and flat terrain templates.  MSRP will be $115.00.

The fantasy-style pre-colored cardboard buildings are a new addition to the TerrainCrate line, and includes a chapel, stone cottage, and a three-story tall townhouse.

The Battlefields line will also offer components from the set separately, neoprene mats depicting different terrains including a flaming Hellscape, the icy Snowfield, and coastal Jungle, as well as matching neoprene terrain and objective overlays.

The Fantasy Battlefield Pack will be the first offering in Mantic’s revamped TerrainCrate line.  The new style will also be featured in an updated Dungeons series planned for later this year.

Mantic has also announced a new expansion for Halo:  Flashpoint (see “‘Noble Team’ Expansion for ‘Halo:  Flashpoint’”) and a role playing game based on Shirow Masamune’s renowned manga The Ghost in the Shell (see “Mantic Games Announces ‘The Ghost in the Shell: TTRPG’”).
