There’s a brand new Rumor Engine today and this one has some real teeth to it. But is the bite bigger than the bark with this this new image?
Well the Rumor Engine is back after a long break. And boy am I glad because I was starting to get worried that it wasn’t coming back! But everyone can relax now because our weekly guessing game can continue. That said, let’s see what the Rumor Engine brought us this week.
After a brief hiatus, the Rumour Engine is back – and it’s got teeth! Can you decipher this mystery image before you get eaten?
Strong jawline, big fangs, long tongue – who do they belong to, though?
Rumor Engine – Chomp-Chomp
So what are we looking at here? Well clearly this is someone’s jawline. It also looks pretty big. My first inclination is that it’s a squig of some type.
It kind of fits the bill. We’ve got a really big maw, large teeth, and a togue all there. They even have similar painting technique on the teeth.
I know the Ork Beast Boyz showed up and brought a lot of squigs with them as well. From the Beastboss on Squigosaur, to the Beastboy Squighog Boyz, and the Kill Rig pictured above. If this is an Ork, I do wonder if GW is using this image to tease something coming in the Armageddon Launch box, too.
It’s also worth noting that the Orks aren’t the only ones who use squigs. There’s the AoS side of the house, too. Gloomspite Gitz are more closely related to those squigs but there’s still a few in the Orruk Warclans, too.
There’s also the possibility this could be related to the Seraphon. Although I’d consider this a bit of a long shot. This image doesn’t appear to have any scales and is more shark/squig-like in terms of skin. Also, now that I’m mentioned sharks…
I guess we have to mention the actual sharks in AoS, too. The jawline doesn’t really match though.
All that to say this one is pretty wide open. I’m personally still leaning towards something Squiggy, but if you’ve got other ideas I’d like to read about them in the comments! What the heck do you think this jawline is going to end up being attached to?
New Ork Boy Squig Riders? But we’ve already got Beast Boyz riding Squigs.
