A handful of stronger elite teams are proving particularly potent, able to exert too much threat against the opponent and control the game around them with stronger operatives and rules. This balance dataslate is most focused on providing other teams ways to combat these stronger teams, and free up several teams who suffer from too many restrictions to be able to proactively use their rules, but several changes will focus on those oppressive teams and reduce their control of the game. The biggest changes are highlighted below.

Kill Team Quarterly Balance Update Highlights

There are two tac ops that got updated to start. Dominate as well as Sweep & Clear have both gotten buffs.

Moving on from those, several Kill Teams have gotten specific reworks and updates. The Battleclade got a pretty major rework …or rather a bunch of tweaks that should help the perform much better. Check out the updates to their Incantation of the Iron Soul, the Underseer’s Network Override, and the Concealed Apparatus changes in particular.

Hierotek Circle’s previous change got reverted in relation to the kill op. The other changes were enough to curb them and so that specific change was pulled back.

The Scout Squad’s Heavy Gunners now get to use the Heavy Weapon Bipod upgrade for free now. There’s also a tweak to the Sergeant worth looking at. He’s no longer require to have visibility to an operative to add their APL stat with Guidance and Experience.

Wolf Scouts got hit with a (much needed) nerf. And that’s not my words but GW:

Wolf Scouts were likely the most oppressive faction remaining in the game, able to enact a very robust game plan with too low a skill floor for their strongest plays. Their faction rule, Elemental Storm, provided incredible buffs, but they were also able to use many rules without needing the Storm at all.

The interaction between the concealed Wolf Scouts and getting a Charging due to the Storm got tweaked. There’s also a host of other downgrades for them as well. Wolf Scout players really need to check out their rules now.

The final “big” highlight was for the XV26 Stealth Battlsuits. They got a few changes to their Operatives including a Focused Markerlight action for the Designator, an updated Multispectrum Sensor Package for the Neutraliser, and the Counter-network Jammers equipment also got an update.

Obviously there’s even more changes so if you’re Kill Team is in the screenshot of updates above, be sure you download the latest rules for your Kill Team and brush up on them!
