Renegade Game Studios will be offering three new World of Darkness books this month, including Hunter: The Reckoning: Legacy of Defiance, Werewolf: The Apocalypse: The Coming Destruction, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth.
Releasing May 6, Legacy of Defiance explores the traditions of the Hunters through a new “lineage” system, which allows players to use the legacy of previous generations of Hunters to guide their own path, if they can survive the trials that lineage demands. The book also offers twelve new Cell Types, new Drives, Advantages, Perks, and Loresheets, as well as new Quarries and Locations. Rounding out the tome is a four-part Chronicle offering twenty hours of playing time. MSRP is $50.00.
The two new books for Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition Roleplaying Game will both release on May 13:
The Coming Destruction serves as both an on-ramp for new players and a toolbox for Storytellers, with guidance on how to run games and story elements, characters, and locations that can be used for any Werewolf adventure, including four complete story arcs. The sourcebook details almost two dozen stories with recurring characters, locations, and Septs ready for use. MSRP is $50.00.
Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth is a book of “in-game” texts from the world of Werewolf designed for Storytellers to use as story-building props, revealing details of forbidden secrets and dark rites of the Wyrm Cult. This version of the book has been updated for Werewolf5th Edition, combining the original 1997 edition and parts of 2001’s Laws of the Wild as well as new material. MSRP is $40.00.
All three books carry a Mature Content advisory and recommend reader discretion.
Last month, Renegade launched a very successful BackerKit campaign to raise funds for its upcoming Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG (see “‘Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG’ BackerKit Campaign Raises Over $4.5 Million”). In August, the company will release a new book for Vampire: The Masquerade (see “Renegade Unveils New ‘Vampire: The Masquerade 5E’ Sourcebook”).
